Im so in love with the benjamin button movie!!!!!! Lately I feel blessed with so many gd movies. Ben button, slumdog millionaire, changeling, the visitor. I'm so happy there is something for me to look forward to every weekend.

Time is passing faster and faster for me. I don't know why but each day passed so quickly from 8.30 - 5.30pm. day after day, week after week.

I dislike people telling me that audit is the worst job, esp cab drivers, like as if they have been in this field before. I know its a fact, but it isn't very nice to criticise the job infront of someone who is in that field. If audit is really that bad, then what about doctors and lawyers?

Many people asked me how long i will stay in audit, then they will tell me when i should leave. They make me think that exiting the company after working 2 years seems like the 'normal' path by everyone. They make me think that by staying in audit line for long is a silly act. Maybe its a wise choice to leave by then, but if i ever become a11 or senior, I will never discourage my a10 by saying so.

I feel Im wasting my youth and my current life is pathetic.

I have been immersing in Japanese culture in my client's place for almost a month, with another 2 wks previously at a korean firm near IMM. I am so inspired by these clients who can converse in eng and japanese and mandarin fluently. They make me wanna learn 3rd language, but languages have always been hard for me since young. I always scored one of the lowest in class for both chinese and english in schools, only to score better in major exams. Maybe some self-teaching jap books haha?

Ever since i started to claim taxi fares and charging meal allowance, almost all my timesheets are bound to be bounced back. I don't understand why I need the signature of the manager when the manager he himself asked me to charge. I don't understand why i still need the signature of my mentor manager for our thailand trip when obviously an email was sent to RMT regarding this.

ONE LAST THING I DUN UNDERSTAND. WHY DO U BOUNCE BACK SO MANY OF THEM ONLY RECENTLY???? NOw i have to ask the manager, who will ask the partners, to reopen the charge code for me just to change some stupid things. then i need to ask the whoever to regenerate my toil report. Then i need to ask the partners to sign my report.

HELLO???? U KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE ALREADY WASTED ON THIS???????



Last saturday was Cedar Carnival in trying to raise funds for constructing and renovating the school building. As the current compound is under renovation, Cedar is now occupying the old VS building, and naturally the carnival was held there. We went back to share the cedar spirit and also to revive our memories of the school.

It turned out that we have no memories because that wasn't my school compound during my schooling days. I don't even know where the canteen and the toilets are in this VS building. Many of the teachers have been transferred to other schools. I could barely recognise some. Only Mr Yau remembered me among the other teachers, but I wasn't close to any teachers in the first place.

This cute fan cost me $4. Well... carnivals are like that hahah.

I think my jap colleague is funny. Each time I talk to him in jap I feel like as if Im watching jap drama . Ohaiyo~~ Konichiwa~~ Tabemasho~~ He told us that many Japanese women become housewife after getting married. Gd life hahaha. Talking to him makes me feel how different we singaporeans are from the outside world (esp we girls vs the japanese girls haha), how substandard our Singlish is, how oily our food is etc. Surprisingly, he likes here so much and is so eager to learn Mandarin that he doesnt mind staying here forever.

Each time I talk to him it sort of brings me back memories of how I felt during my exchange days where at times I really felt so homesick that I wanted to fly back home so much.

I was sick again last wk. I counted that I stopped working for 9 days since the week before cny. As a result, I had very serious Monday blues on the first monday after cny.

I am now working at Sci park, another faraway land which is going to cost me much cab fare. All these cab fare will be deemed as expenses as long as DT hasn't reimbursed me yet.

I almost lost my hp on the cab on thursday on my way back home from Sci park. Luckily, the cab driver didn't pick up any passengers after me and he was so kind enough to drive back and return my hp to me. =) thank you uncle.

I have a cool colleague, a half-korean and half-jap colleague. At first I thought he's an A10 since he was given about the same work as me. It turned out that he's an Assistant Manager in the Jap Service department. It is quite funny with him around and we asked him so many questions. He said he's surprised that there are so many female auditors in Big 4 because back in Japan, female auditors stand at only 10% of the entire auditors population.

We even asked him questions like whether he's chauvinistic. He must be thinking why Singaporean girls are so inquisitive and talkative and gossipy haha.

It is a little stressed working in a Japanese client's office. The japanese employees are so polite to us that we are also polite to them.


He told us that there is a japanese drama on auditors (审计风云). Its about this yandao auditor who strongly believes in justice but his senior and partner are accepting bribes to help clients in committing fraud. This drama apparently reflects the true real life situations that auditors face at times. COOL~~~~~~ i haven't watched it yet, but Im going to watch!!! Since mediacorp is now so proactive in filming dramas to promote engeineering and maritime and doctors and lawyers professions, can they also promote Audit profession??
